Meeting Minutes –12/10/15

Meeting opened at 6:33. Attending: Mike Sullivan, Doug Briggs, Mark O’Clair, Michele Van Reet
Visitors: Mr. Dick Williams, Mr. Brett Russ
- Site walk review – Mr. Williams submitted receipts to support the fuel exchange.
- Rutland Heights Hospital Property (HPPD)
- Advertisement for lot one – Will be in the Landmark and Central Register.
- RFP Lot One – Nothing to do but wait for the dates. A suggestion was made to ask Margaret to post the RFP on the town website.
- Tree cutting discussion – Site visit: 12/11/15 at 9:00AM. Mr. Williams will attend to answer questions on behalf of the RDIC. Mr. Russ asked if there are plans in place for open space use for the property. There are no definitive plans at this time.
- Where – Lot 1 is estimated at $265/1,000 wood feet. The price is currently high, but fluctuates with the market. The price could be more for the trees that are straight.
- When – to be determined
- Procedure – The customary contract is a 60/40 split with the logger. Mr. Williams estimates that there is $10,000 - $15,000 worth of wood on the lot. The DCR has a logger for state property and Mike would like an opinion from them. Mr. Williams will arrange to get more information.
- Notification to DPW
- Notification to abutters – Sullivan will ask Gary Kellaher to notify abutters for us.
- Sullivan has invoices from the Landmark: First is $105 for the RFP notice. A motion was made (Briggs) and seconded (Van Reet) to pay the invoice. Unanimously approved. A second invoice for $35 for the posting of the on-site visit. A motion was made (Briggs) and seconded (O’Clair) to pay the invoice, Unanimously approved.
